Saying goodbye to your beloved pet

Providing compassionate pet euthanasia & cremation services

Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is difficult. Making the decision to euthanize can be heart wrenching and leave owners with many mixed emotions. Our staff at Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital can help guide you through the decision-making process.

Attended Euthanasia - If you choose to stay with your pet through the euthanasia procedure, we will have a room set aside to offer you privacy, space and comfort with a veterinarian at your side for any questions or concerns you may have.

Unattended Euthanasia - If you believe your emotional state may cause more discomfort for your pet you can choose to leave your pet with us for the procedure. Your pet will be surrounded by a veterinarian and technologist to watch over them with compassionate hands and loving hearts.

In-Home Euthanasia - A veterinarian and a technologist will travel to your home to perform the procedure there with your family.

Cremation

All cremations with Tudor Glen Veterinary Hospital are performed by Atim Creek Pet Crematory and can be performed in two ways:

Communal Cremation - your pet will be cremated along with other pets and their ashes will be spread together on Atim Creek Pet Crematory property.

Private Cremation - You may choose to have your pet cremated by itself and returned to you. A scatter bag is available for those that are uncertain if they would like an urn, or if you will be scattering your pet’s ashes in a special place at a later time.

We offer a variety of beautiful urn choices in ceramic, wood, or brass, as well as ink print options to commemorate your pet with jewelry pieces. To view your options please visit Atim Creek Pet Crematory

Other burial options are available at pet cemeteries. If you choose to opt out of cremation for your pet, please refer to your specific county bylaws regarding pet burial. Animal Health Act link for Disposal of Dead Animals

Pear Tree Clay Pawprint

Pear Tree pawprint impressions provide a wonderful lasting keepsake of your pet. These clay impressions are individually hand-painted and kiln-fired by an artist in a colour to match your pet’s fur or any other colour of your choosing. They are personalized with your pet’s name and other special notes or dates can be added to commemorate your pet.

These can be proudly displayed in a small easel stand or you can choose to have them made with a hole to hang like an ornament.
